Is Your Vehicle Legal and Safe to Drive? |
||
|
Just a quick update for residents in Wardleworth. Your local officers are actively out tackling vehicle crime and traffic offences, including patrols, stop checks and enforcement in areas where concerns have been raised. This work is about keeping people safe, preventing crime and dealing with those who put others at risk.
Please take a moment before every journey to make sure you’re driving legally and safely. Seatbelts must be worn by drivers and passengers, and children must be in the correct car or booster seats for their age and height. Vehicles must be properly insured, taxed, have a valid MOT, and drivers must hold the correct licence. These aren’t box‑ticking rules, they save lives.
Driving without insurance, a licence, MOT or tax can lead to heavy fines, penalty points, your vehicle being seized on the spot, court action and even disqualification from driving. Unsafe driving and vehicles linked to crime will be dealt with firmly, and we won’t hesitate to take action where needed.
Most people do the right thing, and we thank you for that. A few simple checks can avoid serious consequences and help keep everyone in Wardleworth safe. We’re out, we’re visible, and we’re taking action where necessary.
